Data Scientist

the Role :

• We are looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to lead our churn prediction and CLTV (Customer Lifetime Value) modelling efforts. This role is critical in identifying at-risk users, maximising customer retention, and optimising marketing spend based on future value forecasts.
• As part of the Growth Analytics and Data Science team, you will collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to build and deploy models that drive strategic decisions across the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop robust churn prediction models using transactional, behavioural, and engagement data.

2. Build CLTV models to forecast the long-term value of customers across various segments and channels.

3. Partner with product and marketing teams to design retention strategies based on churn and CLTV insights.

4. Segment users by risk and value to inform personalised offers, reactivation campaigns, and loyalty initiatives.

5. Validate model performance using ROC-AUC, lift charts, calibration, and other diagnostics.

6. Work closely with engineering to deploy models in production environments and enable real-time scoring.

7. Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders.

Must-Have Qualifications :

1. 3-6 years of experience in data science, predictive modelling, or retention analytics.

2. Proficiency in Python and SQL; hands-on experience with machine learning libraries such as XGBoost, LightGBM, or TensorFlow.

3. Strong understanding of survival analysis, time-series modelling, and logistic regression.

4. Demonstrated ability to forecast CLTV using cohort analysis, regression, or probabilistic models.

5. Experience working with large-scale customer datasets in a business environment.
