As an Engineer in Chassis Architecture, you will be part of team that work in development of geometrical areas in projects and secure cross-functional balanced and verified areas. You will be heavily involved in projects from pre-studies all through development and interact with stakeholders from all over the organization to meet or balance their demands on the future product.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience in DMU, Vehicle level layout, Dimensional Concepts, Packaging Concepts, etc for N3Category Trucks application
- HCV Packaging investigations for vehicle systems and conducting DMU (Digital Mock Up) reviews& concern resolution.
- Good knowledge of Heavy commercial vehicle(HCV) packaging, vehicle layout and BOM preparation.
- Hands on experience in HCV Digital Mock Up (DMU) & handling Vehicle Layouts.
- Manage Variants & meet project specific commonization & Standardisation targets on vehicle.
- Good understanding of Vehicle design and release gateways
- Knowledge of part design, Component & Aggregate level DFMEA, drafting and conceptualization.
- Interface Check & Concern Resolution & review meeting coordination & follow-up
- Knowledge on Bill of material & Weight Management & C.G Calculation specific to Heavy commercial Vehicle
- Vehicle Specification & Benchmarking & Market Survey Analysis
- Knowledge on Vehicle feature list creation & analysing Knowledge on Protobuild / support / coordination
- Knowledge on Vehicle Physical Validation & vehicle actual build
- Knowledge on Product Life Cycle (PLM) & Product Design Management (PDM)
- Knowledge on basic homologation, Service requirement & Assembly Requirement
- Basic Know-how of vehicle related regulations & Certification requirements
- Basic Knowledge of Regulatory requirements, Legislations, Safety & how to incorporate the same in Vehicle Design.
- Knowledge on DFA, DFS, DFM, DFMEA Process & procedure
- Basic knowledge on Vehicle Architecture(Ergonomics, Wheel base defining, Drivers triangle, Styling initial concept packaging, Basic architectural skills / software) is preferred
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Masters or bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.3-9 years of experience in product development projects within the automotive industry.Proficient in Windchill PDM Link. Experience with PTC Creo preferred.Working experience with JIRA tools and Agile methodology.Vehicle coordinate systems and vehicle assembly processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Kola or any PLM tools required.Previous experience in automotive packaging or mechanical systems engineering, Automotive, or Transportation industry experience preferredConcept evaluation experience in tools such as QDCCF, Pugh Matrix, or similarPROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
