About the Role :
As a Senior PHP Developer at Cortex, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable, high-performance web systems. You'll be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, focusing on delivering robust and efficient solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Implement and manage user interfaces with Livewire and other modern front-end technologies.
- Develop and integrate APIs (REST, JSON), with a focus on secure authentication using OAuth2 and JWT.
- Work with databases, particularly MySQL and Oracle, and perform complex query optimization for improved performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Required Skills & Experience :
This role requires 5-8 years of experience in PHP development. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with an immediate to 15-day notice period.
Technical Skills (Mandatory) :
Strong command of PHP 7.x / 8.x with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.Expertise in the Laravel framework.Proficiency with Livewire for dynamic front-end development.Solid understanding of ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) and database design.Technical Skills (Required) :
Experience developing robust APIs (REST, JSON) with secure authentication (OAuth2 / JWT).In-depth knowledge of database technologies like MySQL and Oracle, including complex query writing and optimization.Proficiency in front-end basics (HTML / CSS, JavaScript) and an awareness of front-end frameworks like ReactJS, Next.js, Vue.js, and Node.js.Tooling & DevOps :
Expertise with Git and various branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow).Experience with CI / CD tools (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment).Hands-on experience with Docker is a plus.(ref : hirist.tech)
