Job description
A University Placement Manager builds relationships with companies, organizes recruiting events, provides career guidance to students, and tracks placement data to help students find internships and jobs. Key responsibilities include identifying industry trends, coordinating job fairs, offering resume and interview training, facilitating industry collaborations, and managing the entire student career cycle from preparation to placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Industry Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with companies and employers to create job opportunities and internship placements for students.
- Student Career Support : Provide career counseling, guidance on job search strategies, resume building, and interview preparation, including mock interviews.
- Recruitment Coordination : Organize and manage campus recruitment events, job fairs, and seminars to connect students with potential employers.
- Skill Development : Collaborate with faculty and trainers to develop and deliver skill-building programs for students, such as soft skills, communication, and industry-specific training.
- Internship & On-Job Training : Facilitate and coordinate internship opportunities and on-the-job training for students to provide real-world experience.
- Data & Reporting : Collect, maintain, and analyze placement data, statistics, and feedback to track program success and inform future strategies.
- Employer Outreach : Conduct outreach to potential employers to identify new partnerships and expand the array of available job and internship opportunities.
