Embedded Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Specialist to join our embedded software development team in Coimbatore. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the architecture and design of complex embedded systems working on challenging projects that impact various industries.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Development and Implementation :

Develop high-quality reusable and maintainable code.

Implement and integrate software modules.

Follow coding standards and best practices.

Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.

Technical Leadership :

Guide and mentor junior software engineers.

Provide technical expertise and support to the team.

Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Collaboration and Communication :

Collaborate effectively with other engineering teams (hardware testing etc.).

Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Participate in project planning and status meetings.

Qualifications :

Educational qualification :

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Experience :

6 years of experience in embedded software development for Automotive Consumer Electronics or MedTech.

Mandatory / requires Skills :

Strong understanding of embedded systems architectures and design principles.

Expertise in C / C programming for embedded systems.

Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g. CAN SPI I2C).

Experience with software design patterns and architectural principles.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with automotive software development processes (e.g. ASPICE).

Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC 61508).

Experience with model-based design and development.

Knowledge of specific microcontroller architectures.
