Job description

1. Market Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and execute market penetration strategies for transformer segmentspower, distribution, solar / wind, dry-type, furnace, and special application units
  • Identify new business opportunities in India & international markets (EU, MENA, Africa), supporting Companys global expansion goals

2. Client Acquisition & Management

  • Generate leads through direct client engagement, industry events, and channel partners; build relationships with utilities (SEBs), EPC firms, and OEMs (e.g., Schneider, ABB, Siemens).
  • Manage client lifecycleconduct RFQ responses, technical proposal development, price negotiation, and contract closure.
  • 3. Product & Technical Marketing

  • Develop compelling sales materials highlighting Company's transformer strengths : low-loss / eco-design, reliability, NABL-certified testing, and customization ability
  • Work closely with R&D, production, and QA to align messaging and technical narratives for product positioning.
  • 4. Sales Target & Performance Monitoring

  • Set and monitor regional sales targets, revenue projections, and KPI tracking.
  • Analyze sales data to optimize channel effectiveness, pricing strategies, and ROI on marketing efforts.
  • 5. Tender & Project Bid Management

  • Lead response efforts for tenders : scope reviews, technical compliance, costing, and timely submissions.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure proposals align with production capabilities and capacity planning.
  • 6. Collaboration & Internal Engagement

  • Partner across R&D, production, supply chain, finance, and field services for project delivery alignment.
  • Relay market feedback to influence product roadmapeco-design, renewable energy, and green transformer innovations .
  • 7. Brand & Industry Presence

  • Represent Company at trade shows, seminars, and industry forums; evaluate opportunities for franchises or channel expansions
  • Drive strategic initiatives to position Company as a trusted transformer brand in power and renewable energy sectors.
  • 8. After-Sales & Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure seamless handover to service teams and maintain customer support protocols.
  • Monitor and enhance post-sales satisfaction, coordinating service and maintenance follow-up.
  • Required Profile

  • 5-10 years in technical sales or marketing within transformer, power equipment, or heavy electrical industries.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, with experience handling RFQs, tenders, and strategic negotiations.
  • Strong technical understanding of transformers, standards (IEC, IS, ANSI), eco-design, and renewable-energy applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to build long-term client relationships.
  • Comfortable with domestic and international travel.
