Job Title :  L2 / L3 Network Security Engineer

Experience :  5+ years

Job Description :

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L2 / L3 Network & Network Security Engineer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in network and network security, with a proven track record of working with major OEMs.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of not just maintenance and troubleshooting but also the installation and configuration of network and security devices.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Network & Security Management : Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot complex network and network security environments.
  • Installation & Configuration : Install and configure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from major OEMs like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Check Point.
  • Maintenance & Support : Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and provide L2 / L3 support for network and security issues.
  • NMS / EMS Solutions : Utilize and manage various Network Management Systems (NMS) and Element Management Systems (EMS) for effective network monitoring and management.
  • Security Implementation : Implement and manage security policies, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and other security solutions.
  • Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and secure network infrastructure.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with L2 and L3 networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with major networking and security OEMs (e.g.HPE Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet etc).
  • Hands on knowledge on Grafana and Prometheus would be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in installing and configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in using and managing NMS / EMS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, including all types of firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and access control.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, PCNSE, CISSP) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
