Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and strategic Customer Success Manager (CSM) to own and drive adoption, engagement, and retention across enterprise customers in the Asia region. You’ll partner closely with CISOs, AppSec, and platform engineering teams to ensure success with Akto’s platform and help grow strategic accounts.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in customer-facing enterprise environments, understands the nuances of post-sales in cybersecurity or SaaS, and can translate technical value into business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Onboarding & Adoption
Lead hands-on onboarding and implementation for new enterprise customers.
Work directly with customer engineering teams to :
Configure API discovery, traffic analysis, and agent monitoring.
Enable production-grade deployments.
Drive time-to-value and ensure customers see measurable security ROI.
Conduct deep-dive technical enablement sessions for security and platform teams.
Account Management & Growth
Serve as the trusted advisor to CISOs and AppSec leaders across assigned accounts.
Drive renewals, upsells, and multi-year expansion strategies in partnership with Sales.
Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key stakeholders.
Customer Advocacy & Experience
Own overall customer health metrics : usage, satisfaction, and retention.
Anticipate risks to customer success and proactively address them.
Collect product feedback and relay insights to Product & Engineering teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver customer outcomes.
Contribute to playbooks and processes.

Technical Understanding
Agentic Security
Understanding of agentic AI behavior and autonomous actions
Awareness of prompt injection, jailbreaks, and model misuse threats
Ability to guide customers on secure agent tool-use and action policies
Identifying abnormal or unsafe agent activity
Collaborating with security, cloud, or AI teams on agent-related incidents
API & Cloud Security
Webhook configuration and signature validation
Secure API integration patterns (mTLS, token rotation, IP allowlists)
Familiarity with OWASP API Security Top 10
Basic Kubernetes and container security awareness (network policies, secrets)
Understanding cloud security basics (IAM roles, least privilege, VPCs, key storage)
API Fundamentals
Reading and interpreting REST API documentation
Understanding JSON structures and payload formats
Using Postman, Swagger / OpenAPI, or similar tools
Troubleshooting authentication issues (OAuth2, API keys, JWT)
Analyzing HTTP 4xx / 5xx errors
Knowledge of API rate limits, throttling, and retries

4–5 years of experience in Technical Customer Success / Solutions Engineering / Implementation, preferably in B2B SaaS / cybersecurity / enterprise tech
Ability to juggle multiple initiatives
Strong stakeholder management : Proven ability to engage with senior executives (CISO, VP Security, AppSec)
Track record of high customer satisfaction and renewals in enterprise environments
