Job Brief

We are looking for a strong and driven Regional Sales Manager to lead sales across a large region or multiple states. You will guide State Heads and Area Sales Managers, grow sales, build a strong dealer and distributor network, and help the brand shine in the market.

Responsibilities

Sales & Growth

  • Build and follow a clear sales plan to grow revenue and market share.
  • Set monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets for your team.
  • Track numbers every week and guide the team to meet goals.
  • Plan sales schemes and forecast sales for key products.
  • Maintain the right product mix to protect margins.

Dealer & Distributor Management

  • Grow and manage the dealer and distributor network.
  • Ensure quick payments and follow company credit rules.
  • Handle concerns, strengthen relationships, and replace weak distributors when needed.
  • Support active dealers and make sure they meet sales expectations.
  • Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor State Heads, ASMs, and Sales Executives.
  • Review their daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
  • Improve field visits, execution, and sales conversions.
  • Plan regular training and ensure the team follows all sales SOPs.
  • Market Development & Branding

  • Ensure a strong presence in retail hardware shops through regular field visits.
  • Run branding activities, demos, and meetings with architects and carpenters.
  • Grow carpenter engagement through loyalty programs.
  • Make sure all shops have strong brand visibility.
  • Budget & Profit Management

  • Run marketing and branding activities within budget.
  • Improve regional gross margins and reduce wasteful spending.
  • Market Intelligence & New Opportunities

  • Study the market and find new business opportunities.
  • Track competitor pricing, schemes, and promotions.
  • Share feedback with product and marketing teams.
  • Sales Operations

  • Monitor primary and secondary sales through DMS / SFA tools.
  • Approve visit plans and join field visits.
  • Ensure smooth order booking and on-time deliveries.
  • Support new product launches across the region.
  • Collections & Inventory

  • Maintain proper stock levels at distributor and dealer points.
  • Ensure regular order cycles and timely payment collection.
  • Reporting

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and market reports.
  • Share insights on market trends and team performance.
  • Qualifications

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Business Administration.
  • 12 to 15+ years of sales experience.
  • Experience leading state-level or regional sales teams.
  • Strong knowledge of distributor and dealer management.
  • Good communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of sales margins, forecasting, and market analysis.
  • Strong command of MS Office and CRM tools.
