Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly proficient SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll (ECP) Consultant with 36 years of hands-on experience to lead the technical design, implementation, and sustained support of payroll processes within the SAP SuccessFactors suite.
This role demands deep expertise in configuring complex payroll schemas and rules, managing critical upstream and downstream data integrations, and ensuring robust legislative compliance within a global enterprise environment.
The consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, security, and efficiency through best-practice configuration and technical troubleshooting.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Execute the full lifecycle implementation of SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll (ECP), including configuration, testing, documentation, and post-go-live support for global or multi-country payroll instances.
- Design, develop, and configure complex payroll schemas and personnel calculation rules (PCRs), specifically customizing wage types, factoring, and accruals to meet unique organizational and statutory requirements.
- Manage the technical setup and monitoring of key data integrations between Employee Central (EC) and ECP, ensuring data integrity and consistency using standard integration tools (e.g., Integration Center, SAP Cloud Platform Integration / CPI).
- Conduct rigorous payroll testing, including parallel runs, mock payrolls, and validation of customized gross-to-net calculations to ensure absolute accuracy prior to production release.
- Perform deep-dive analysis and technical troubleshooting of payroll errors, log issues, and reconciliation discrepancies, utilizing tools like the Payroll Simulation and debugging within the ECP system.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of the production payroll runs, including scheduling jobs, managing payroll control records, and overseeing post-payroll steps (e.g., posting to Finance / GL, bank file generation).
- Collaborate with HR and Finance stakeholders to gather complex payroll requirements, translating them into technical configuration specifications and system design documents.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of local and global statutory payroll compliance requirements, configuring system updates and support packs to ensure the ECP system remains legislatively compliant.
- Provide technical support and guidance for the generation of payroll-related reports, including tax forms, social security submissions, and regulatory filings.
Required Technical Skills :
SAP ECP Expertise : Proven hands-on experience with configuration and execution within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).Payroll Schemas & PCRs : Expert knowledge of creating, customizing, and debugging payroll schemas and Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs).Integration : Strong technical skills in configuring and monitoring inbound / outbound payroll integrations, specifically between EC and ECP.Data Structures : Deep understanding of SAP HCM infotypes, logical databases, and the underlying data model relevant to payroll processing (e.g., wage types, cumulators, deduction models).Troubleshooting : Proven ability to use ECP tools for effective issue diagnosis, including payroll logs, control records, and interface monitoring.SQL Knowledge : Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for data extraction, verification, and reporting purposes.Preferred Skills :
Working knowledge of ABAP for reading and debugging custom function modules or enhancements within the ECP environment.Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) or other middleware solutions for building secure and stable payroll interfaces.Certification in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).Functional knowledge of Employee Central (EC) master data and its impact on the payroll process.Experience in a global payroll environment covering multiple country localizations.Familiarity with other SAP modules that integrate with payroll (Financial Accounting / FI, Time Management / TM).Experience migrating legacy SAP HCM Payroll systems to the SuccessFactors ECP platform.(ref : hirist.tech)
