Freelance Consultant- Senior Data Scientist

Our client, an Indian multinational home appliances company is seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in machine learning, statistics, and business analytics to design scalable data products and deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in solving complex business problems using data, leading projects end-to-end, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Work with business / product stakeholders to translate objectives into analytical solutions and ML use cases.

Design, develop, and deploy predictive models, advanced analytics, and optimization solutions.

Implement end-to-end ML pipeline (data wrangling → feature engineering → modeling → validation → deployment → monitoring).

Lead experimentation frameworks (A / B testing, hypothesis testing) and drive data-driven decision-making.

Communicate findings to leadership using clear storytelling, visualizations, and business frameworks.

Collaborate with Data Engineering to enhance data quality, data availability, and model performance.

Success Metrics

Measurable business value delivered via analytics / ML solutions.

Full ownership of use-case lifecycle from ideation to ROI realization.

Uplift in product / operations / marketing KPIs driven by DS initiatives.

Skills Required-

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.

6–8 years of experience in Data Science, ML, AI, or Advanced Analytics roles.

Strong proficiency in :

Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, SciPy)

ML model development : Regression, Classification, Time-Series, Clustering, Recommendation Systems, NLP, etc.

Experience with ML lifecycle tools : MLflow, Airflow, Docker, CI / CD preferred.

Knowledge of Cloud platforms : Azure

Experience working with large-scale structured / unstructured datasets and MLOps workflows.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management & leadership skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and deliver outcomes.
