Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced PL / SQL Developer to join our team. The role involves developing and optimizing PL / SQL programs, supporting reporting and governance needs, and working with financial datasets. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience in requirement gathering, and the ability to collaborate effectively with onsite and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize PL / SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers .
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather reporting and governance requirements .
  • Perform data mapping and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Document SQL logic, data sources, workflows, and business rules using Confluence .
  • Manage tasks, track progress, and build dashboards / metrics using JIRA .
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate reporting outputs against requirements.
  • Create business transaction flow charts to visually represent reporting logic and data flows.
  • Work closely with onsite and offshore teams to ensure timely and seamless delivery.
  • Support reporting delivery using Web FOCUS , without direct development responsibilities.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in PL / SQL development, data engineering, or reporting / analytics roles.
  • Proven track record in working with financial data, reporting standards, and governance processes .

    • Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in PL / SQL & SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, performance tuning).
  • Expertise in data mapping and transformations to meet reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with financial datasets (GL, P&L, Balance Sheets).
  • Exposure to reporting tools : Web FOCUS (support role), Cognos, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA dashboards / metrics, Confluence documentation).

    • Functional Skills

  • Strong ability in requirement gathering and translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Skilled in creating structured documentation and test cases for validation.
  • Proficient in preparing business transaction flow charts (Visio, PowerPoint, Lucid chart).
  • Hands-on experience in onsite-offshore collaboration models .
