Sr. Electrical Engineer

This role is in the field of Electrical Engineering based in Ahmedabad, where you ll get the chance to work with teams impacting not only design but also in production. Order execution to be part of across the globe level projects including India.

• How You ll Make an Impact This role is mainly on Customer Order Execution projects.
• Involvement in the bid phase and assistance during commissioning activities as an addition.
• Responsible to fulfill on time all technical obligations committed by the Company, including those sub-contracted to external suppliers related to Electrical Equipment including but not limited to MV and LV Motors, Motor Control Centers, Excitation Panels, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) & Heaters.
• Manage and work in Globus Teamcenter & SAP.
• Support NCC prevention initiatives by using 8D and 5WHY methodologies.
• Retain and develop new supplier base for cost out initiatives.
• What You Bring Must have a bachelor s degree in electrical engineering with 5 years of proven experience in field of Electrical engineering and design.
• Should be conversant with updated national / International standards and codes.
• Familiar with all American / European Norms
• Major activities to be performed
• Ensures timely decisions on open issues, bringing up if necessary.
• Coordinates the Engineering disciplines and the cooperation with involved regional Engineering units including their interfaces.
• Resolve the site / Supplier / Client queries
• Complete package ATEX and CE certification
• Experience / Exposure to work with & interpretation of technical specifications of - world-class consultants like : EIL / TEIL / UHDE / LTC / Technip / Shell DEP / ARAMCO / PDO etc.
• This role is accountable to prepare the following major engineering and documentation :
• Motor, VFD & Breaker Specification for enquiry and purchase
• Motor Start up procedures
• VFD & Transformer Sizing calculations
• Main Motor SLD
• Electrical Load Chart
• Electrical Block diagram
• Work with various Electrical Equipment
• Instrument - Electrical Interface Sheet
• Inspection & Test plan and Test procedures
• Power Cable Sizing - for MV & LV Motors, VFDs & Breakers
• Cable Schedule
• Manufacturer Datasheet
