About the Role :

Join a dynamic project to develop an iOS app for controlling smart LED lighting devices, offering

features like presence simulation, timers, astro-timers, fading dimming, and touchless controls. This

role involves designing an intuitive UI and implementing robust backend logic for seamless device

interaction, all while working remotely.

Responsibilities :

Design and develop a user-friendly, responsive UI for an iOS app to control smart LED

lighting devices, ensuring compatibility with features like presence simulation, timers, astro-

timers, fading dimming, and touchless controls.

Implement backend logic to integrate the app with smart lighting devices via APIs, ensuring

reliable communication for automatic on / off, dimming, and scheduling.

Collaborate with the project team to translate requirements into technical specifications,

focusing on intuitive user experiences and robust functionality.

Optimize app performance for iOS devices, ensuring low latency and energy efficiency

during lighting control interactions.

Integrate the app with cloud-based infrastructure for remote device management and real-

time updates.

Ensure app compatibility with the latest iOS versions and devices, adhering to Apple’s

design and performance guidelines.

Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and maintenance to deliver a high-quality, bug-free

user experience.

Work remotely, providing regular updates and participating in virtual meetings to align on

project goals.

Requirements :

4+ years of experience in iOS app development, with a strong portfolio showcasing UI / UX

design and backend integration.

Proficiency in Swift and Xcode for building responsive, high-performance iOS applications.

Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating mobile apps with hardware devices or IoT

systems.

Strong understanding of iOS UI / UX principles, including Apple’s Human Interface

Guidelines, to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.

Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, or other protocols for device

communication.

Knowledge of backend development concepts, such as handling API requests, JSON

parsing, and data synchronization.

Experience with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience developing apps for smart home or IoT devices, particularly lighting or home

automation systems.

Knowledge of app security best practices, including secure data transmission and user

authentication.

Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks like XCTest or XCUITest.
