Unified Communications (UC) Engineer :
The candidate must be independent, highly motivated, and willing to continually learn emerging unified communication technologies. Candidate should be able to prioritize and manage projects from design through implementation, testing and documentation. Position requires a minimum of 6 years of hands- on expertise with enterprise class business communication systems, solutions, and technologies. The Engineer will plan, coordinate, and execute testing (both manual and automated) activities. TheEngineer will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropsriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved. Candidate will work with market leading communications products from Microsoft, Cisco and Zoom.
As a UC Engineer you will :
Deploy, configure, and test customer solutions end to end.
Document test results and provide configuration guides.
Prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
Analyze and troubleshoot VOIP issues.
Develop configuration guides and test report.
Regression test automation platform, deploy and support automation tools.
Collaborate with cross functional teams and provide subject matter expertise as required.
Research new technologies, solutions and provide feedback on continuous improvement.
Qualification Required :
Experience in Cloud Platforms like Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, AWS, Google and Zoom
Enterprise voice and Data Center expertise working with collaboration platforms and solutions.
Proven track record working with leading UC systems like Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, Mitel, etc.
Hands-on experience with Session Border Controllers, Voice Gateways and Edge Devices
Expert level knowledge of VOIP protocols such as SIP, RTP / SRTP including TLS.
Experience working with Routing and Switching protocols is an advantage.
Experienced in Virtualization platforms VMWare and Hyper-V.
Experience in on-Premises Contact Center Solution (UCCE, UCCX, AACC, Avaya Aura Elite, Genesys Engage) & CCaaS - Contact Center as a Service (Webex CC, NICE CX One, RingCentral, Five9, Amazon Connect) is an added advantage.
Experience working with Linux and Windows server operating systems.
Professional or Expert Level Certifications in Unified Communications is an advantage.
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Background in technical support, quality assurance, software testing or application development will be considered as an advantage, as well as experience in software automation.
Education :
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required (Computer Science, Software Engineering, technical management); a master’s degree is a plus.
