Civil Engineer

Site Engineer – Metro & Civil Projects (Block Work, Lift Pit, Staircase, Shuttering & Centering)

Experience Required : About 5 years in site execution of civil works, preferably metro or large-scale infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibilities :

Site Execution & Supervision :

Oversee daily site activities including block work, lift pit, staircases, shuttering, centering, and de-shuttering.

Ensure that work is executed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and safety norms.

Labour & Team Management :

Lead and supervise labour teams, ensuring proper allocation of manpower.

Motivate, guide, and maintain discipline at site to maximize productivity.

Liaison & Coordination :

Act as the primary contact with principal contractors / clients, ensuring clear communication and quick approvals.

Coordinate daily with the client / consultant for work requirements, site instructions, and issue resolutions.

Planning & Targets :

Plan daily / weekly targets for quantum of work, set timelines, and ensure achievement within deadlines.

Quickly implement instructions received from principals without delay.

Billing & Documentation :

Prepare, maintain, and submit invoices in line with client requirements.

Ensure timely approval and certification of bills from principals / consultants.

Material Management :

Maintain complete knowledge of materials required for site works.

Prepare daily / weekly material consumption reports and raise requisitions in advance.

Coordinate procurement to ensure uninterrupted work progress.

Reporting & Compliance :

Maintain daily progress reports, labour reports, and material consumption records.

Escalate issues proactively and provide solutions to avoid delays.

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards at all times.

Key Skills :

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent coordination and communication abilities (liaison with principals is a key requirement).

Ability to work under pressure with strict timelines.

Sound technical knowledge of block work, shuttering, centering, concreting, and finishing works.

Proficiency in preparing reports, material planning, and billing.
