Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and implement academic strategies aligned with the institution’s goals and the vision of the School of Fine Arts.
- Ensure the department’s academic and creative practices remain in tune with emerging industry trends, technologies, and global art standards.
2. Curriculum Management :
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of Fine Arts programs to ensure innovation, relevance, and academic quality.Regularly review and update course content in areas such as Painting, Sculpture, Applied Arts, Digital Arts, and Art History to meet current academic and professional benchmarks.3. Team and Faculty Management :
Lead, mentor, and inspire the academic team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, andcontinuous improvement.
Facilitate coordination among faculty, visiting artists, and support staff for smooth departmentaloperations.
4. Faculty Development :
Organize faculty training sessions, art pedagogy workshops, and professional development programs.Conduct performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and mentoring to enhance teaching and creative output.5. Teaching and Instruction :
Conduct theory and studio classes as required, maintaining high standards of instruction and artistic practice.Encourage experimentation, research, and innovation within the classroom and studio environment.6. Student Development and Engagement :
Monitor student academic and artistic performance, providing guidance and mentorship for creative and professional growth.Promote participation in exhibitions, art competitions, residencies, and interdisciplinary projects.7. Quality Assurance and Compliance :
Ensure adherence to institutional quality standards and external regulatory requirements (e.g.,UGC / NAAC / AICTE).
Conduct academic audits and maintain documentation for accreditation purposes.8. Data-Driven Decision Making :
Analyze student performance data, feedback, and outcomes to improve teaching effectiveness and curriculum design.9. Collaboration and Reporting :
Collaborate with other departments, galleries, and cultural organizations for academic and creative exchange.Prepare and present departmental reports, showcasing achievements, progress, and future plans to senior management.Key Requirements :
Master’s or Ph.D. in Fine Arts / Visual Arts or a related field from a recognized institution.Minimum 8–12 years of academic and / or professional experience in Fine Arts, with at least 3–5 years in aleadership role.
Strong portfolio demonstrating artistic excellence, research contributions, and / or industry recognition.Proven ability to manage academic teams, develop innovative curricula, and lead institutional growthinitiatives.
