Job description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead cross‑functional and technical delivery of the end‑to‑end S / 4HANA data migration program (strategy, scope, plan, estimates, RAID, quality gates, sign‑offs).
  • Facilitate business / functional workshops to finalize object scope (BP / Customer / Vendor, Material, BOM / Routing, Pricing / Conditions, FI / CO / AA, inventory, open items, supply chain & manufacturing objects), ownership, and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate process designs into functional data rules (mappings, defaulting / derivations, validations) per module; maintain object‑wise run books and approvals with process owners.
  • Direct the technical build and loads—extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and load—using SAP Migration Cockpit, BODS / Syniti, LSMW / LTMC, IDoc / BAPI, and SQL; personally deliver critical objects as an individual contributor.
  • Coordinate with MDG teams when present to align to data models / standards and governance checkpoints, without taking on MDG operations.
  • Establish data quality KPIs and reconciliation : profiling, match / merge, de‑duplication, control totals, and pre / post‑load checks; partner with Finance for financial reconciliations.
  • Orchestrate mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover, and hyper care; manage defect triage, root‑cause analysis, stabilization, and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide executive‑level communication : status reporting, risk / issue management, stakeholder alignment, and change management across business and IT.

Qualifications :

  • Proven success leading 2–3+ full‑cycle S / 4HANA data migration programs, owning scope, plan, and outcomes.
  • Strong functional understanding across at least three SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP, QM, EWM, FI / CO, AA, PM) with ability to interpret process flows and drive data rules.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both functional and technical resources, influence stakeholders, and operate independently with minimal support.
  • Experience delivering migrations in environments where MDG exists (standards / validation alignment, checkpoint coordination).
  • Excellent client‑facing communication, executive presence, and consultative problem solving.
  • Education :

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

    Experience :

  • 10–14 years overall SAP experience with 5+ years focused on S / 4HANA data migration.
  • Object coverage spanning master and transactional data : BP / Customer / Vendor, Material, BOM / Routing, Pricing / Conditions, GL / CO / AA, cost centers, open AR / AP / GR / IR, inventory / stock, and production / supply chain objects.
  • Track record leading SIT / UAT, cutover rehearsals, and hypercare; comfortable guiding multi‑vendor / offshore teams.
  • Certifications :

  • Preferred : SAP Activate; S / 4HANA functional module certification (e.g., SD / MM / FI / CO) or recognized data migration certification.
  • Plus : SAP BODS / Syniti certifications.
  • Note : MDG certification not required.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Tools / Tech : SAP S / 4HANA Migration Cockpit, SAP BODS / Syniti, LSMW / LTMC, IDoc / BAPI, flat‑file / ODP extractions, SQL / Excel‑based validation frameworks.
  • Functional–Data Bridging : Data mapping and derivation rules aligned to process designs; familiarity with IMG / config artifacts and Fiori validation apps.
  • Quality & Controls : Profiling, match / merge, de‑duplication, control totals, and reconciliation design; strong documentation discipline.
  • Lifecycle : SAP Activate, test strategy (Unit / SIT / UAT), cutover planning, risk / issue management, and audit‑ready run books.
  • Desired Attributes :

  • Executive‑ready communicator with consultative stakeholder management.
  • Hands‑on leader who coaches functional and technical teams while owning delivery.
  • Structured, detail‑oriented, and outcomes‑driven with strong follow‑through.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity across multiple modules and vendors.
  • Work Environment :

    Currently, the work environment will be remote but can be hybrid based on management decisions or need. However, in case deemed necessary, candidate might need to travel to client location onshore / offshore based on client requirements.
