Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Team Lead - Academic Counseling to manage, mentor and motivate our team of Academic Counselors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving team targets, strategic planning of enrollment initiatives and ensuring the counseling team provides exceptional student guidance, resulting in high conversion and student satisfaction. This role requires proven leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of the admissions process and the ability to thrive in a target-driven, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities :
A. Team Leadership & Management (Handling Team)
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Academic Counselors to foster a high-performance, collaborative and student-focused environment.
- Conduct regular training sessions and one-on-one coaching to enhance the team's counseling skills, product knowledge and target achievement strategies.
- Perform quality checks (e.g., call audits, file reviews) to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), data accuracy and professional communication.
- Manage team scheduling, attendance and performance appraisal process, addressing any issues proactively.
B. Strategic Planning & Drive Team Targets
Develop and implement strategic counseling and conversion plans to achieve monthly and quarterly team enrollment targets.Analyse team performance metrics, conversion funnels and lead data to identify trends, bottlenecks and areas for improvement.Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to optimise lead quality, counseling materials and promotional campaigns.Prepare and present regular performance reports to the management, detailing team progress, conversion rates and strategic recommendations.C. Counseling and Admissions Process Oversight
Oversee the entire student journey, from initial lead engagement to final enrollment and onboarding, ensuring a seamless experience.Act as an escalation point for complex student queries, admission issues and fee discrepancies.Ensure the team accurately records and manages all student interaction data and enrollment statuses within the CRM / system.Requirements :
Graduate degree in any discipline (Education or Management preferred).4+ years of experience in counseling or sales, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a team lead role.
