Role Summary :
We are seeking a mid-level legal professional to join our Corporate Counsel team, with a primary focus on real estate and property law. The role involves end-to-end management of property transactions and conveyancing, including drafting, negotiation, due diligence, and compliance. While the core responsibilities will be centered on conveyancing and real estate, the role also provides exposure to other areas of legal work within the corporate counsel team.
Key Responsibilities :
Draft, vet, and negotiate Leave and License agreements, lease agreements, sale deeds, MOUs, and title documents.
Provide legal support for property acquisitions, rentals, and disposals, including due diligence and risk assessment.
Ensure compliance with local real estate laws, including RERA, municipal and development authority regulations.
Liaise with external counsels, government bodies, and regulatory authorities on property-related issues.
Handle legal documentation for property registration, stamp duty, and registration formalities.
Maintain legal records and contract database for all real estate transactions.
Conduct legal due diligence of properties including title verification, encumbrance checks, etc.
Keep updated with changes in real estate and property law and advise management accordingly
Key Requirements :
LLB degree with 4–10 years of post-qualification experience.
Strong exposure to real estate, property law, and conveyancing.
Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating leave & license agreements, lease deeds, and sale transactions.
Working knowledge of RERA, municipal, and development authority regulations.
Experience handling property registrations, title verification, stamp duty, and due diligence processes.
Ability to liaise with government authorities and external counsel effectively.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in maintaining legal trackers, records, and documentation.
Excellent English proficiency (verbal and written).
Willingness to contribute to other legal workstreams beyond property / conveyance when required.
