Job Summary :
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented RACF Security Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our critical Mainframe environments, specifically within a Banking Project. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in RACF access provisioning, using the Vanguard tool, and ensuring the security posture is compliant, auditable, and functional. This role requires strong diagnostic ability and a focus on providing the "right access to the right person" to prevent critical system impacts.
Key Responsibilities :
Access Management & Configuration :
- Create User IDs, groups, and assign user attributes
- Understand and provide access based on user roles and requirements
- Manage and maintain RACF Attributes, Groups, Dataset, and General Resource Profiles
- Utilize RACF panel navigation and RACF commands effectively
- Maintain and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) regularly
Security & Compliance :
Perform both internal and external security audits and provide feedback to auditorsDemonstrate the ability to judge the correctness of access granted to prevent critical system impactUnderstand the concept of certificates, Private & Public rings, and submit / install cert requests for certificate renewalMaintain a basic understanding of RACF Setropts, Utilities, and programsTroubleshooting & Support :
Possess advanced troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve security violation and access issuesDiagnose and find access errors, providing access to the correct RACF resourcesIdentify the severity of issues, resolve them quickly, and prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Apply in-depth knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Change ManagementRequired Skills and Competencies (Must-Have) :
Technical :
