Embedded Escalation Engineer ( Need Hands-on Experience in Hadoop + HDInsight + Linux)

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Embedded Escalation Engineer with 2 years of hands-on experience in Linux and Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will support production environments, troubleshoot complex data platform issues, and collaborate closely with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure platform stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 escalation support for production incidents related to Big Data platforms.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on Linux-based environments.
• Monitor and maintain clusters running on HDInsight, Hadoop, Hive, and Kafka.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed data systems.
• Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to implement fixes and preventive measures.
• Support cluster deployment, configuration, and optimization activities.
• Handle service requests, incident tickets, and change management tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure SLA adherence.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu) – shell scripting, process management, log analysis.
• Working experience with:
• HDInsight cluster management and troubleshooting.
• Hadoop (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce).
• Hive query optimization and performance tuning.
• Kafka topic management, brokers, producers/consumers troubleshooting.
• Understanding of distributed systems and cluster architecture.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, ports, firewalls).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis.
• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow/JIRA) is a plus.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash/Python).
