Job Title : Junior Sales Trader

Job Summary

We are seeking an initiative-taking and meticulous Junior Sales Trader to join our High Touch Cash Sales Trading Desk. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of institutional equity markets and a keen interest in trading workflows. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a dynamic environment, supporting senior traders and directly engaging with institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities :

Help senior sales manage client relationships, respond to inquiries, and provide trade updates.
Communicate market color, execution insights, and new product offerings to clients.
Monitor orders and performance for institutional clients across various exchanges.
Optimising execution strategies
Generate and analyze execution reports, transaction cost analysis (TCA), and other performance metrics using Excel.
Develop a solid understanding of the firm's proprietary and third-party execution systems, including OMS / EMS platforms.
Contribute to internal discussions on market trends and client needs.
Collaborate with operations, technology, and compliance teams to ensure smooth trade processing.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Institutional Equities, preferably within a dealing, sales trading role.

Moderate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas for data analysis and reporting).

Basic understanding of execution systems (OMS / EMS) and their workflows.

Familiarity with common execution algorithms and their purpose.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.

Initiative-taking, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a demanding environment.

High degree of accuracy and diligence.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
