Senior Quality Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

Must-Have Expertise :

  • Strong experience in testing with a sound understanding of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of UI testing concepts, and practical exposure to functional, regression, system integration, and non-functional testing.
  • Proficiency in test case design, test execution, defect management, and tracking.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar defect tracking and project management tools.
  • Good debugging and analytical skills to investigate issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multiple teams and functions.
  • Basic scripting skills using Python or any other scripting language (Shell Script, JavaScript, etc.) to support testing tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of writing and executing SQL queries for validations (preferably on PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, or similar relational databases).
  • Exposure to UI Automation Tools like Selenium

Good-to-Have Expertise :

  • Understanding of open-source technologies including, Kafka, HBase, Solr, and ElasticSearch.
  • Experience working in Linux environments for system-level validations and troubleshooting.
  • Awareness of Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of Kubernetes environments and deployment basics (good to have for supporting system validations).
