JOB DESCRIPTION
General Summary of the position :
1. The Accountant is someone who works closely with the Sr. Manager – Accounting, Director, Auditor & the Leadership of the Company, to manage all aspects related to the accounting department of the Company.
2. The candidate would be well versed in using Zoho-Books and Tally, with the ability to follow accounting & bookkeeping principles.
3. The candidate would come with a minimum experience of 1.5 years in an accounting & book-keeping function, with a thorough experience of maintaining Ledgers, Accounts Payables and Receivables, Cash & Bank, Tax-Filing, etc.
1. Job Description : Assist the Sr. Manager – Accounts on the following –
2. Accounting Tasks –
3. Bills Booking & Tracking Amounts & Due Dates – Purchases & Utility Bills.
4. Credit Card Bills Reco. – Segregation of Nature of Expense.
5. Petty Cash Tracking & Management of Vouchers using Zoho Books.
6. Scrutiny of Customer & Vendor Ledgers.
7. Finalisation of Books of Accounts during Monthly Closing.
8. Coordination with Auditors for Requirements & Timely Returns.
9. Filing Systems for Important Company Documents.
10. Bank & Cash Withdrawals.
b. Payroll-Related –
1. Enforcing Employee Submission of Income Tax Declarations and Proof of Investments.
2. Verification of Employee Investment Proofs (Payroll-related).
3. Addressing any Employee queries related to their TDS calculations.
4. Providing Form 16 to Employees (if needed).
5. Coordination with EPF & ESIC Consultants and ensuring compliance.
c. Statutory Compliances –
1. Verifying TDS Calculations.
2. Ensuring TDS Payments on a timely basis.
3. Coordination with CA Team to collect & file, Quarterly TDS Returns, GST Payments and TDS Certificates (send to vendors).
4. Coordination with the Company Secretarial team for MCA-related compliances & Board Resolutions (as needed).
