Senior ITMS Consultant

Location : Nashik, Maharashtra

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ITMS Consultant to lead and optimize Intelligent Transport Management Systems (ITMS) for Nashik City Bus Services. This role is critical in ensuring seamless operations of systems such as AVLS, AFCS, Depot Management System, and other ITS components. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders, manage vendor coordination, and drive technology adoption to enhance urban mobility and commuter experience.

Key Responsibilities

Technical

Coordinate with the Master System Integrator (MSI) for installation and maintenance of ITS hardware and software (e.g., tracking devices, AFCS, PIS display boards, CCTV cameras).

Manage and monitor ITMS device and software inventory.

Ensure timely resolution of ITS device malfunctions and implement contingency plans for revenue collection during downtime.

Provide monthly compliance and availability reports for all ITMS components.

Operational

Monitor day-to-day operations of contracted bus operators, including on-time performance and route adherence.

Track delays or missed trips as per schedule.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (insurance, licenses, permits).

Oversee operation of ETVMs and fare collection systems.

Track and report SLA parameters as per ITMS agreement.

Verify invoices raised by MSI for accuracy and compliance.

Advisory

Recommend emerging technologies such as AI, ML, IoT, Big Data, and Blockchain for transport sector improvements.

Advise the client on project-related activities and strategic decisions.

Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders at various project stages.

Coordination & Reporting

Work on-site at the client’s premises and maintain regular communication with designated officers.

Facilitate discussions, incorporate stakeholder inputs, and ensure timely dissemination of project outputs.

Skills & Qualifications

Graduate with Experience in ITMS with Proven experience of a minimum of 10 Years (after graduation) with at least 5 years of experience in ITS / ITMS in bus operations, route planning, public transport planning or a related field.

Candidates must have B.E. or B. Tech in IT or CSE or ECE / MCA or Equivalent

Report writing & Presentations

Analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis using MS Excel / Tableau / Power BI are preferable.

Experience as Consultant / Advisory in Urban Development, Transport, or any Government projects is preferable.
