Required Experience : 6+ Years

Skills : AWS cloud account management / security(IAM), Databricks, EKS, Istio, Terraform, Software Development, unit testing CI / CD, Datadog

Required Education, Experience / Skills / Training :

6+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles, including 2+ years in a lead capacity.

Background in data systems support

Solid operational experience with AWS infrastructure (IAM, VPC, EKS, ALB / NLB).

Hands-on knowledge of Data infrastructure platforms, MWAA, Databricks, running Spark and Flink on Kubernetes in production environments.

Experience supporting CI / CD platforms such as Jenkins and Spinnaker, including pipeline troubleshooting.

Familiarity with cloud security and networking concepts relevant to EKS, including IAM, TLS, VPCs, DNS, and service-to-service access.

Strong collaboration and expert communication skills, with the ability to align across distributed engineering teams.

Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and scripting languages (Python, Go, etc.)

Expertise leading teams in on-call rotations or incident resolution processes across globally distributed teams

Expertise leading high-severity incidents and driving root cause resolution across globally distributed teams

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role :

Technical Leadership & Design : Define and evolve support practices and architectural direction for data infra.

Hands-on Platform Engineering : Build and maintain EKS, MWAA, and Databricks integration patterns.

Incident Response & Escalation : Act as first technical responder for escalated incidents.

Mentorship & Code Reviews : Support skill development across the team.

Platform Migrations & Reliability Initiatives : Lead infra upgrades, job migration efforts, and cost-efficiency improvements.
