Role OverviewWe are seeking anEngineering Manager (MERN Stack)who can lead by example, architect scalable backend systems, and guide a growing engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance applications using,,, and MongoDB. This is a leadership position that blendshands-on technical expertisewithteam management and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable backend services and REST APIs using and Architect and maintain robust data models with MongoDB and NoSQL databases. Drive end-to-end product development in collaboration with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams. Ensure high standards of code quality through peer reviews, test coverage, and automation. Optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability of backend systems. Manage background jobs, queues, and event-driven architecture. Implement and uphold best practices in application security and data protection. Lead sprint planning, architecture discussions, and release cycles. Mentor and guide engineers to grow technically and align with organizational goals. Qualifications & Skills Education : B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience : 6+ years in backend development, with strong command of the MERN Stack. Expertise in,, and JavaScript (ES6+). Deep understanding of MongoDB schema design and performance optimization. Proven experience architecting scalable and resilient backend systems. Familiarity with Docker, CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and API documentation tools (Swagger / OpenAPI). Experience with Redis, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Good to Have Exposure to AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) or other cloud platforms. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana). Working knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or gRPC. Contributions to open-source projects or public code repositories.
