Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced ETL Testing Engineer with over 5 years of proven expertise in designing, developing, and executing ETL test cases to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity within data warehouse and BI solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL tools, and testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.

Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading operations to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and mappings.

Perform data profiling, data validation, and reconcile source data with target data.

Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.

Automate ETL test cases and develop reusable test scripts to improve testing efficiency.

Perform performance testing of ETL jobs and identify bottlenecks to optimize processing times.

Document testing efforts, results, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

Ensure adherence to data governance, security standards, and compliance requirements.

Stay updated on emerging ETL testing tools and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of experience in ETL testing within large-scale data warehouses.

Strong knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, DataStage, or similar.

Proficiency in SQL and scripting to validate and analyze data.

Experience with testing tools like Selenium, UFT, or specialized ETL testing frameworks is a plus.

Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and BI platforms.

Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Certifications :

ISTQB Certified Tester

Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

Any relevant ETL or Data Warehouse certifications
