Job Title : Senior Full-Stack Developer

Location : Mumbai

Experience : 6–8 years

Qualification : Undergraduate degree, preferably in computer science / technology, or other related fields, with high academic achievement; advanced degree preferred

Work Schedule : Full Time

We're hiring a Full-Stack Developer for Kelp, an enterprise product nurtured by True North, India's leading private equity firm. Kelp is a front-office product providing decision-makers with "wows and watch outs" for high-value decisions in the private equity and venture capital space. We are excited to build a product that is digital-first, data-fueled, and compelling.

As the Full-Stack Developer, your responsibilities would be :

Development of modules, features, and libraries for the product development roadmap.

Solving challenging, non-obvious, level-2 bugs that require insight.

Troubleshooting and fixing bugs raised by QA teams, and performing code reviews to give feedback to colleagues.

Being part of the Agile team for development activities.

Participating in fine-tuning software development and unit-testing processes, with a good understanding of adjacent processes like building pipelines and testing.

Working independently on development tasks with minimal supervision.

Requirements

4–8 years of experience building applications using front-end technologies like Angular 2+ , JavaScript / Typescript , HTML5 , and CSS3 .

Experience with backend technologies like NodeJS , express , and Postgres .

Should have developed Rest full API's and handled socket connections .

Working knowledge of version control systems like git .

Understanding of good system design, reusable components , and extensibility .

Must be obsessed with quality and security concerns .

Excellent spoken and written communication in English .

Willing to work in a fast-moving startup .

Good to Have :

Working experience in a SaaS product company and / or Startup .

Experience in working in libraries / frameworks such as AmCharts, High Charts, or D3.js .

Experience in No Relational Databases like mongo .

Working experiences in Cloud (Azure or Similar) and / or DevOps tools like Jenkins .

Working knowledge of Microservices or Micro frontends , docker, k8s , etc..

Any scripting experience to automate tasks.

Requirements

Strong skills in SQL and PL / SQL, with experience in tuning slow queries. Proficiency in analyzing execution plans using tools like EXPLAIN, ANALYZE, and auto-explain. Expertise in indexing strategies, VACUUM / ANALYZE, and table partitioning. Skill in using monitoring views such as pg_stat statements, pg_stat activity, and pg_stat user tables. Knowledge of key PostgreSQL configuration parameters like work_mem and shared_buffers. Experience with connection pooling tools (e.g., PgBouncer) and managing locks and concurrency. Familiarity with schema optimization, normalization, and scalable data models. Comfort with PostgreSQL on AWS RDS and managing read replicas.
