The Applications Development Lead Analyst is a part of the Issuer Services Technology global management team. This role leads an experienced engineering team to implement new or revised application systems in coordination with the Issuer Services Technology team.
The Issuer Services business has aggressive business growth goals for the next 3-5 years and has made considerable additional investments in Technology, including quadrupling the size of the technology organization during the past few years. This role is critical to ensure our project oversight and delivery of solutions to the Operations and the Front Office businesses are best in class and scalable to continue supporting growth within the business and our internal technology organization.
An ideal candidate has a passion for leadership with a strong capability in leading and directing our development teams. S / he is a senior hands-on technical lead with proven track record leading engineering teams and managing projects with acute awareness and accountability for financial and risk related objectives. S / he has strong technical and architectural skills and proactively contributes to the new technical vision and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Resolve variety of high impact problems / projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals as well as conduct personnel duties for team ( performance evaluations, hiring, budget and disciplinary actions)
- Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
- Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
- Impact the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, participate in budget management, and handling day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team / project
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards negotiating with external parties when necessary
- Consider budget implications and make appropriate strategic decisions to reduce Citi's risk exposure.
Qualifications :
13-18 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis roleExtensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications DevelopmentAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationExperience in ECS based Containerized Applications, Cloud, CI / CD Pipeline, Blue-green and Canary deployments, Test Coverage, Lightspeed, Tekton, Kotlin, Java and YAML / JSON etc.Experience preferred in building application using MongoDB, ETL, Analytical, Bigdata and Reporting platforms like Tableau and Pixel Perfect.4+ years of relevant experience of essential Skills in Java, Spring Boot, SSO, Microservices, Angular 8 or higher, or React.Proficient in Core Java / J2EE (including Spring, MVC etc.)Proven experience in Microservices architecture.Familiarity with CI / CD principles and DevOps practices.Solid understanding of the Spring Framework and Spring MVC withPractical experience with one JavaScript framework (Angular or React) - REQUIRED.
Proficient in using any integrated development environment (IDE) such as IntelliJ or Eclipse – REQUIRED.Knowledge of modern AI based tools like Copilot.Ability to work on complex and variable issues with significant potential impact, weighing various alternatives and stabilizing potentially conflicting needsExperience with Agile and all aspects of the SDLC, and DevOps processes.Education :
