Senior IT Architect Engineer (Vmware)

This is a hands-on role for a proactive and adaptable Senior IT Architect Engineer to blend daily support with project delivery. You'll resolve complex issues, drive architectural initiatives, and champion best practices with a focus on ownership and independent problem-solving.

What You'll Do :

Provide Tier 2 / 3 support for core infrastructure (Windows, VMware, Linux).
Own technical issues from incident to resolution.
Deliver solutions aligned with architectural designs and project needs.
Recommend and implement infrastructure improvements.
Support backup, recovery, and Disaster Recovery operations.
Collaborate on new infrastructure and cloud platform rollouts.
Document systems, processes, and configurations.
Explore and implement emerging technologies.
Take initiative and contribute to a culture of mentorship and shared learning.

Technologies You'll Use :

Virtualization : VMware vSphere, ESXi clustering, vCenter, NSX; AWS, GCP, Azure.

Operating Systems : Windows Server, Linux (RHEL / Ubuntu).

Identity & Access : Active Directory, Okta, Azure AD.

Backup & Recovery : Veeam (configuration, policy, restore, DR).

Scripting & Automation : PowerShell, Bash, Puppet.

What You Need :

8+ years in IT infrastructure engineering.

Strong hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi clustering, vCenter, NSX, and Linux.

Solid troubleshooting across Windows, Linux, VMware, and automated environments.

Good working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.

Proficiency with Veeam (backup policy design, recovery, DR).

Strong scripting / automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Puppet).

Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.

Self-motivated, independent, and effective as both a mentor and learner.
