Overview

Our client – one of the largest data science companies – is seeking to hire an Apprentice Leader – Pharma Commercial Analytics with 5–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in advanced commercial analytics functions such as sales and marketing, patient and HCP engagement, market access, contracting and rebates, and product launches.

The ideal candidate will work closely with client stakeholders, internal teams, and cross-functional experts to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in ambiguity, possess a strong blend of analytical, business, and technical acumen, and are passionate about solving real-world healthcare and life sciences problems using data science, behavioral science, and complexity thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of analytics engagements across the client’s commercial functions
• Translate complex, ambiguous business problems into structured analytical frameworks using its Art of Problem-Solving System™
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to define problem statements, align on success metrics, and drive adoption of analytical solutions
• Guide teams in developing and deploying solutions across areas such as :
• Sales force effectiveness and optimization
• Omnichannel marketing analytics and marketing mix modeling
• Patient journey mapping and segmentation
• Brand performance tracking and forecasting
• Market access, pricing analytics, and contracting
• New product launches and rebate strategy
• Leverage tools such as Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Dataiku, along with project management platforms like JIRA, MS Planner, and Trello
• Experience with generative / agentic AI tools is a plus
• Mentor and coach Decision Scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and first-principle thinking
• Ensure quality, timeliness, and business relevance of all deliverables
• Contribute to account growth by identifying new opportunities and co-creating proposals with clients and internal stakeholders
