Role TITLE - for Data Trust, Data Analytics
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible and accountable for :
- Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse requirements for data-related projects and initiatives
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with data policy
- Performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support the generation of the Data Trust data assets
- Developing and maintaining data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and documentation to support data governance initiatives
- Facilitating the creation of data models and ensuring alignment with business needs and technical capabilities
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with data governance standards.
- Acting as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions and governance practices
- Supporting the development and implementation of data management tools, processes, and workflows to enhance data accessibility and usability
- Providing training and guidance to stakeholders on data governance best practices and data management protocols
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of data governance and management strategies through regular audits and process reviews
WHAT YOU'LL BRING :
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience (3+ years) in a Business Analyst and / or Data Analyst role with a focus on data governance, data management, or data qualityStrong technical understanding of data systems, including databases (e.g., SQL), data modelling, and data integration toolsProficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Python, R, Excel, or similar)Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, or standardsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly languageStrong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to data (e.g., GDPR, DORA, or industry-specific regulations)Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvementPreferred Skills
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Solidatus)Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) & modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Lake)Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present insights effectivelyFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and experience working in Agile environmentsExperience working in financial services or other regulated industriesUnderstanding of machine learning or advanced analytics conceptsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, or equivalentProfessional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA), data analysis, or data governance (e.g., DAMA CDMP, CISA) are highly desirableAdvanced degrees (e.g., Master's in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields) are a plusSkills Required
