Job Summary
The Production Head will oversee end-to-end production operations of the flour mill, ensuring high product quality, optimal efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of milling processes, team leadership, and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor daily production activities to achieve output, quality, and efficiency targets.
Oversee wheat cleaning, conditioning, milling, blending, and packing operations.
Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and other relevant food safety regulations.
Optimize production planning, resource allocation, and machine utilization.
Lead, train, and supervise production staff, operators, and shift teams.
Coordinate with maintenance to ensure minimum downtime and smooth running of machinery.
Maintain accurate production reports, yield tracking, and inventory records.
Implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase yield, and enhance product quality.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, hygienic production environment.
Collaborate with Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams for seamless operations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
Strong experience in flour milling operations (atta, maida, sooji, bran, etc.).
Hands-on knowledge of roller mills, sifters, purifiers, pneumatic conveyors, and packaging machinery.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-management abilities.
Proficiency in production planning, process optimization, and problem-solving.
Knowledge of food safety audits and regulatory compliance.
