– Site Reliability / Data Observability Engineer

The role of Site Reliability Engineer in the Data & Analytics organization is to develop and support frameworks and mechanisms that monitor Data, Data pipelines, Usage, User operations, Data Infrastructure, Compute statistics to proactively ensure data accuracy, reliability, system scalability, health, and performance of our Analytics platforms on GCP / AWS. The role will play a crucial part in designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions while working with the Cloud / Data Engineering team. We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer over 3-5 years of technical expertise in Data Observability, Data Platforms, Cloud infrastructure and Cloud operations space.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve data and data pipeline issues, optimize system performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure proactive identification and resolution for data and platforms issues.
• Leverage or Build mechanisms for root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop data collection strategy, metric definition, anomaly detection, alerting, data pipeline monitoring, data quality assessment, visualization creation.
• Develop automation scripts and leverage open-source or market tools to implement Data Observability framework, streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
• Continuous collaboration and improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance of data platform.
• This role requires strong technical expertise as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications :

Good to have :

Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
