Automation Test Engineer - Cypress / Playwright Testing

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Cypress and / or Playwright to join our QA team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automation testing, a deep understanding of test frameworks, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the stability, performance, and quality of our Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain functional and integration test cases to validate application functionality across platforms.
• Review existing test cases, identify test gaps and cover edge cases or complex user scenarios.
• Perform manual and automated test execution, analyze results, and generate detailed test reports.
• Investigate server logs, backend systems, and databases to provide detailed and actionable bug reports.
• Work closely with development teams to reproduce issues and ensure quick resolution.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect counts.
• Design and implement test automation frameworks using Cypress and / or Playwright.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
• Continuously improve test processes, tools, and documentation to align with best Skills & Qualifications :
• 7 to 14 years of experience in automation testing, with hands-on experience in Cypress and / or Playwright.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting, and test lifecycle.
• Experience in working with CI / CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and test reporting tools.
• Familiarity with debugging techniques, server log analysis, and basic SQL / database querying.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and self-driven attitude.
• Experience in working within Agile / Scrum environments
