Working with the Head of Content to plan monthly, quarterly, and annual content roadmaps.Developing desk-wise content structures and programming with a competitive advantage.Arranging content partnership meetings with relevant potential content partners including all types of product & service businesses.Managing daily production on all language desks, primarily English by commissioning content internally and externally.Implementation & management of accurate & authentic copies free from plagiarism with internal / external experts.Negotiating on the companys behalf with all key vendors and suppliers necessary for Image subscription, news / video agencies, etc.Core Functional tasks (30%)
- Editing, proofreading, and maintaining checks & balances across all types of content writing / editing functions & verticals.
- Production management with daily content units as per the desk structure allocated by the Head of content.
- Ensuring performance mapping through content on a daily / weekly / monthly basis the core geographies & businesses.
- Scouting ideas and brainstorming sessions with the desk & team at large.
- Tracking SEO growth by culling out data from the tools used internally and analysing it, followed by sensible data-backed decisions to tweak the stream of content production wherever needed.
Inter-departmental coordination (10%)
- Lead the content & copy team with an overlapping function of also direct coordination with all other departments with a singular objective of growth
- Smooth coordination with the BD team for client work or special pitches.
- Regular liaisoning with the Marketing & Product teams for quick action and measuring story impact via Organic, Social and referral traffic.
- Liasoning closely with the Video team for audio-visual production of content (internal and outsourced, both), if required.
- Staying in touch with the centralised and local Product teams for issue resolution on the site wrt to UI / UX, page layouts, tool performance, new releases, CMS concerns etc.
- Attending & initiating team meetings for growth discussion and understanding / learning new production pipeline attempts from other desks or depts. Role & responsibilities
Preferred candidate profile
More than 8-12 years of experience working in digital publishing and marketing as well as having hands-on experience in performance tracking via tools like Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEM Rush, etc.
- Has built and led teams of 5-10 or more people across one / multiple reporting centres.
- Passion and a burning desire to make a big impact and change the world for the better. A highly flexible and adaptable character that embraces challenges and does not work as per the clock.
- Interest in F&B / hospitality, home services, career-job, finance, education, auto-tech, travel-tourism, grocery / FMCG & entertainment, and other such domains.
- Strong track record of fast-paced, high-quality execution of strategy, ability to work with tight deadlines & in fast-growing digital companies.
- Proven ability to generate large volumes of content keeping SEO guidelines intact.
- Leadership capabilities with a team-first mentality.
- Great networking within the industry.
- Thrives in high-speed execution environments, able to make quick Plan B without impacting desired outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, in both persuasion and presentation; Impeccable English writing & speaking skills.
- E-commerce / digital publishing exp is a plus.
