Role Overview : Seeking a

Hitachi L2 Storage Engineer (5+ years)

to manage

mission-critical storage infrastructure

in a

regulated, low-latency financial environment . The role focuses on

day-to-day operations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution

for trading and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and support

Hitachi storage systems (VSP, VSP G Series, HUS / AMS)

in

primary DC and DR sites .

Perform

L2 operations

including

volume management, LUN provisioning, masking, replication setup (TrueCopy, ShadowImage) .

Monitor storage health, performance, and

resolve L2 faults under strict SLAs .

Collaborate with

server, network, and application teams

for seamless storage integration.

Participate in

backup, replication, and DR testing

to ensure high availability.

Maintain

SOPs, runbooks, and audit-ready documentation

for compliance.

Assist in

storage patching, firmware upgrades, and minor configuration changes .

Technical Requirements :

5+ years

hands-on experience with

Hitachi storage arrays (VSP / AMS / HUS) .

Strong understanding of

LUN provisioning, masking, zoning, replication, and snapshots .

Experience with

Hitachi Device Manager / Command Suite / Hitachi Storage Navigator .

Knowledge of

SAN / NAS protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS) .

Familiarity with

financial trading / BFSI environments or regulated DCs .

Exposure to

ITIL-based incident / change management .

Preferred Certifications :

Hitachi Certified Storage Administrator (HCSA)

ITIL Foundation
