Jr. / Sr. Merchandiser– Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Management

  • Coordinate with factories and vendors to ensure timely production and delivery.
  • Monitor production schedules and update relevant stakeholders regularly.
  • Ensure efficient use of materials and resources during production.

Vendor & Supplier Coordination

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Source raw materials and negotiate pricing, lead times, and quality standards.
  • Resolve any production or quality-related issues promptly.

    • Order Management

  • Manage order placement, tracking, and follow-up from sample development to shipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of orders, approvals, and changes.
  • Monitor WIP (work in progress) and keep track of order status across multiple stages.

    • Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all products meet internal and customer quality standards.
  • Coordinate inspections and audits with quality teams.
  • Handle any rejections or corrective action processes with suppliers.

    • Client Communication & Reporting

  • Act as a point of contact between the production team and the buyer / clients.
  • Provide regular production updates and resolve client queries efficiently.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly production status reports and dashboards.

    • Process Improvement

  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions for smoother production flows.
  • Implement best practices in supply chain and production management.
  • Use ERP or merchandising software tools to enhance operational efficiency.

    • Skills :

  • Education : B.Tech / B.E. in Textile Engineering, Production, or related field.
  • Experience : 1-4 years (Strong communication, systematic follow-ups over email and messaging, fabric knowledge, Technical printing & Dyeing process, vendor management.)
  • Preferred Background : experienced in a textiles-based company, Printing & dyeing experience, working as a merchandiser.
