Experience : 2 to 6 Years

Mandatory Requirement

Hands on experience & knowledge of the design and development of LV to EHV Electrical products primarily for Surge arresters / Insulators required

Key Responsibilities :

Take lead in the design reviews in the product development process, including the understanding of customer requirements and mapping to CTQ (critical to quality) design features.

Work closely with CFT (cross-functional team) to scrutinize design concepts for cost, lead time, quality, standardization, supply assurance, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.

Assist the new product development team with rapid prototyping techniques, testing and validation of proto samples.

Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure that product meets customer specifications.

Work with the manufacturing department to ensure that the product designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly.

Preferably to have worked in industries related to products dealing with energy and power sectors.

Knowledge and understanding of product design principles (DFSS, APQP, etc.)

Demonstrable proficiency in 2D / 3D CAD software is needed.

Understand FEA simulation software like Ansys, Nastran, and Comsol etc.

Good knowledge of engineering materials, applications, and industry standards.
