Immediate Start! Director of AI / ML Research & Development

We are looking for a Director of AI / ML R&D for our Earth Observation Data Team, you will spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI and machine learning initiatives. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, and researchers to enhance our capabilities in processing and analyzing earth observation data, delivering impactful solutions for our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Research & Development : Stay informed of the latest trends and advancements in AI / ML and earth observation, driving R&D initiatives that enhance our competitive edge.
• Technical Expertise : Provide guidance on the application of advanced machine learning algorithms and data processing techniques tailored to earth observation data.
• Project Execution : Oversee the full project lifecycle for AI / ML applications, from ideation and design to implementation and evaluation, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
• Performance Metrics : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project success and impact.
• Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the strategic vision for AI / ML initiatives in earth observation, aligning with organizational goals and market needs.
• Team Management : Lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages professional growth.
• Collaboration : Partner with internal stakeholders and external organizations to identify opportunities for AI / ML integration and innovation.
• Stakeholder Communication : Effectively communicate technical concepts and project outcomes to non-technical stakeholders, translating data insights into actionable strategies.
• Partnership Development : Cultivate relationships with academic institutions, industry leaders, and research organizations to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications :

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in AI / ML, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Must-have :

Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.

Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, data analysis, and earth observation technologies.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Experience with large datasets and data management practices.

Passion for leveraging technology in Agriculture, Infrastructure, and Utilities along with addressing environmental challenges.
