Key Responsibilities
Understand manpower requirements (staff, labour, skilled / unskilled, permanent /
temporary) from production, operations, maintenance, admin departments.
Prepare and publish job descriptions / job ads for non-IT positions.
Source candidates through job portals, local outreach, referrals, labour contractors,
walk-in drives, community networks.
Screen resumes / applications, conduct initial candidate assessments / interviews.
Coordinate interviews with department heads / supervisors.
Follow up with selected candidates, manage offer & negotiation process.
Facilitate onboarding : documentation, background checks, orientation.
Maintain candidate database / pipelines for urgent & recurring hiring needs.
Organize and manage bulk hiring or walk-in drives, especially for labour roles.
Maintain recruitment trackers / MIS : number of hires, time-to-fill roles, sources of hire,
cost per hire etc.
Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company’s HR policies during
recruitment.
Work closely with HR / admin teams to ensure smooth joining, uniform supply, safety
training as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline; degrees in Human Resources / Social Sciences / Commerce
/ Business are advantageous.
1-4 years of experience specifically in recruitment / talent acquisition of non-IT roles
(staff, labour etc.), preferably in manufacturing / steel / heavy industry setting.
Strong sourcing ability : knowledge of local recruitment channels, labour contractors,
community hiring.
Good communication skills : to interact with candidates from varied backgrounds
(education, location, language).
Ability to conduct bulk hiring efficiently.
Basic computer skills : MS Office (Excel, Word) and use of job portals / ATS if
applicable.
Good organizing skills, ability to handle multiple roles at once.
Willingness to visit local areas, labour camps etc. for candidate sourcing.
Understanding of or willingness to learn relevant labour law / compliance related to
hiring, contract labour etc.
