Job Profile : Passive Fund Manager

Passive Fund Manager is responsible for managing index-replicating and rule-based portfolios within the Portfolio Management Services (PMS) structure. The role focuses on achieving benchmark-consistent returns with minimal tracking error, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance under SEBI PMS Regulations. The manager ensures precise replication of indices such as Nifty 50, Nifty Next 50, or custom thematic benchmarks while managing liquidity and costs.

Key Responsibilities

 Construct and maintain index portfolios aligned with benchmark composition and weights.

 Execute periodic rebalancing and corporate action adjustments with minimal tracking error.

 Monitor tracking variance, liquidity, and cash management within PMS mandates.

 Ensure compliance with SEBI PMS Regulations, internal risk frameworks, and audit standards.

 Collaborate with internal team to design new passive or smart-beta PMS strategies.

 Prepare performance reports, factsheets, and investor disclosures in coordination with client teams.

 Engage with high-net-worth PMS clients to discuss performance, investment strategy, and rebalancing actions.

Required Skills

 Strong understanding of equity markets, NSE / BSE indices, and passive investment products.

 Proficiency in Excel / VBA, Bloomberg, Python / R (preferred) for tracking and risk modeling.

 Knowledge of SEBI PMS norms, reporting systems, and compliance standards.

 Analytical and quantitative aptitude with attention to detail.

 Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Qualifications & Experience

 Bachelor's or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering.

 Preferred : MBA (Finance), CFA, or FRM certification.

 3–8 years of experience in fund management, index / ETF operations, or quantitative PMS.

 Familiarity with NSE / BSE index rebalancing and PMS reporting tools
