Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Audit Intern to support our Human Resources Department. The intern will assist in maintaining and organizing HR documentation, coordinating recruitment activities, supporting internal and cross-departmental audit processes, and contributing to general HR operations. The candidate will also gain exposure to US payroll processes and compliance requirements while learning about HR’s role in overall organizational governance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Documentation & Record Management
- Prepare, organize, and maintain all HR-related documents and employee records.
- Ensure HR files, forms, and reports are accurate, up to date, and compliant with company policies.
- Assist in updating internal databases (employee details, attendance, etc.).
- Handle document filing—both digital and physical—systematically and confidentially.
2. HR Audits & Compliance
Assist in conducting internal audits of HR records and departmental documentation.Support in ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and internal control standards.Identify gaps or inconsistencies in documentation and coordinate with respective teams to resolve them.Prepare and present audit findings and reports to the HR Manager or HR Head.3. Cross-Departmental Audit Support
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, IT, and Administration) to review and verify records as part of organization-wide audits .Support in collecting, verifying, and organizing data from other departments for internal or external audits.Track audit progress and maintain records of corrective actions taken by various departments.Assist in preparing audit summaries and compliance checklists for management review.Contribute to improving audit procedures and documentation efficiency across departments.4. Recruitment Support
Assist in sourcing and screening candidates through various job portals and platforms.Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.Maintain and update recruitment trackers and candidate databases.Support onboarding documentation and induction activities for new hires.5. General HR Operations
Assist in day-to-day HR functions such as attendance tracking, leave management, and HR communication.Coordinate with different departments to collect data and prepare HR analytics or reports .Support in employee engagement initiatives and HR-led events or programs.6. Payroll Assistance
Support the HR and Accounts teams with payroll data collation and validation .Assist in maintaining payroll records and tracking employee compensation updates.Gain exposure to US payroll systems, compliance standards , and reporting procedures.Desired Skills
