Job description
kpoint , and Meraki technologies, as well as a strong understanding of network security,
performance tuning, and troubleshooting in a multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise firewalls and security appliances
(Fortinet, Checkpoint).
Manage Meraki-based wireless infrastructure, switches, and SD-WAN configurations.Perform proactive monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of network components toensure high availability and performance.
Collaborate with Level 1 support teams to resolve escalated issues and provideadvanced technical guidance.
Implement network security policies, rules, and access controls in line withorganizational policies.
Plan and execute network upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance with minimaldowntime.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident documentation.Maintain network documentation including diagrams, change logs, and IP inventories.Ensure compliance with audit and information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001,GDPR, etc.).
Work with vendors and service providers for hardware / software support and issueresolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
7–8 years of overall experience in IT infrastructure with at least 4+ years in aNetwork Administrator or similar role.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate), Checkpoint firewalls, and Merakisolutions.
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), NAT, andACLs.
Proficient in network protocols – TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, SNMP.Experience in managing multi-location and cloud-hybrid networks.Ability to use network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG,Wireshark).
Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and threat mitigation techniques.Preferred Certifications (Any of the following) :
Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5Checkpoint CCSA / CCSECisco CCNA / CCNPMeraki CMNASoft Skills :
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.Work Schedule & Availability :
Should be available for 24 / 7 rotational support , on-call duties, or shift-basedoperations if required.
Availability for planned changes and incident handling during off-hours / weekends asneeded.
