Project Risk Manager

Role Objective : To ensure smooth and timely project execution by proactively identifying risks, analyzing impact, implementing mitigation plans, and resolving project issues through structured controls and governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Risk Identification & Assessment

Build and maintain a detailed Project Risk Register covering technical, commercial, financial, and operational risks.

Conduct cross-functional risk assessment sessions to evaluate probability, impact, and overall exposure.

2. Risk Mitigation & Control

Develop risk response strategies (avoid, mitigate, transfer, accept) with clear owners and timelines.

Track mitigation actions and integrate risk considerations into project schedules and cost plans.

3. Issue Management

Maintain and monitor a live Issue Log for all project-related issues.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and quality teams for timely issue closure.

Escalate critical issues and provide corrective & preventive action (CAPA) recommendations to management.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

Prepare weekly / monthly dashboards showing risk status, issue trends, and exposure levels.

Present periodic risk and issue reports for management review and support project audits.

5. Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with internal risk policies, ISO standards, and contractual requirements.

Support development and continuous improvement of risk management SOPs and frameworks.

Conduct risk-based assessments to ensure project readiness and robustness of control measures.

Qualifications & Experience

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.

6–10 years’ experience in project risk management, project controls, or project governance.

Hands-on experience in EPC, renewable energy (preferably utility-scale solar), or large manufacturing projects.

Strong exposure to risk registers, issue logs, mitigation planning , dashboards, audits, and CAPA processes.
