Systems Engineer – Level 3 (Internal)

Remote working 24X5 shift

Overview :

The L3 Systems Engineer role is more engineering-focused than traditional system admin roles. It blends AWS design, implementation, SaaS administration, on-prem oversight, and technical leadership. This role also acts as escalation for L2s and is expected to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities :

Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation).
Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault, AWS Snapshots).
Administer SaaS (Okta, AWS Workspaces, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom).
Monitor observability tools (Datadog, Orion, Nagios, WhatsUp Gold).
Support Active Directory, hardware lifecycle, Windows / Mac OS.
Collaborate with DevOps for CI / CD pipelines.
Provide escalation support, mentor L2 engineers.
Support in security incident responses (“all hands on deck”).
Balance hands-on work with governance and compliance awareness.

Qualifications :

5+ years AWS engineering / administration.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional preferred / expected.

Proven Okta administration expertise.

Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS / EKS).

Strong networking background (TCP / IP, DNS, VPN).

Excellent troubleshooting / documentation skills.

Bachelor’s degree in CS / IT.

Cloud experience + Okta are non-negotiables.

Certifications : L2 may be flexible, L3 expected to have certifications.
