Advocara is a mission-driven startup helping people reduce and fight unfair medical bills in the US. This is a very large problem and market opportunity. We combine AI, LLMs, and automation to empower consumers in navigating a complex healthcare system.

We have a top-10% team and culture, and seek similar great people to be a foundation for Advocara as we grow.

We’re looking for a Developer to help architect and build our core platform at a senior or lead level. You’ll work in Python and Next.js , deploy to AWS , use and extend on our observability stack. Write clean, testable, and well-designed code. This is a role for a strong, productive engineer —someone who can move fast with thoughtfulness, contribute architectural insight, and execute at a high level.

This is a full-time remote position, with a preference for candidates in India who can work with substantial overlap to US Eastern Time hours.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement key features across frontend and backend
  • Support DevOps, deployment or production as needed
  • Work closely with a small, committed team
  • Use AI in innovative ways to make an impact for millions of people
  • Contribute to the startup in other capacities that match your skills or interest

Required skills

  • Strong software design ability, collaborative
  • Fast, focused, and eager to take ownership
  • Knowledge of Python and Next.js
  • AWS knowledge
  • Write modular, maintainable , well- tested code
  • Thrive in early-stage environments with high responsibility

    • Nice-to-have skills (not required)

  • Experience working with AI / LLM tools , prompt engineering, RAG, frameworks
  • Exposure to US healthcare systems , especially insurance claims, billing, or EHRs
  • Experience building consumer-facing products
  • Familiar with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Demonstrated history of innovation, rapid growth, or standout contributions — through promotions, original projects, academic excellence or similar
