Job Description – Senior Solution Architect (Azure Fabric & Order-to-Cash)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Fabric and an understanding of the Order-to-Cash (O2C) business flow. The role requires combining cloud-native data architecture skills with ERP process knowledge to deliver robust, scalable solutions that streamline O2C operations, improve cash flow visibility, and enhance business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Lead solution design leveraging Azure Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs, Purview) to unify and govern O2C data.

Define end-to-end architecture covering ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, governance, and consumption layers.

Establish integration patterns across ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Salesforce).

Build data models and semantic layers to support quote-to-order, fulfillment, invoicing, collections, and cash applications.

Order-to-Cash Domain Alignment

Translate O2C workflows (credit checks, order management, billing, payment processing, disputes, collections) into scalable data and analytics solutions.

Ensure reconciliation of transactional data across sales, supply chain, and finance systems.

Enable KPIs and dashboards (e.g., DSO, AR aging, revenue leakage, on-time collections) through Power BI and Fabric semantic models.

Collaborate with Finance, Sales Ops, and IT leaders to optimize O2C process efficiency through data-driven solutions.

Delivery & Leadership

Provide architectural leadership to engineering teams in building pipelines, APIs, and event-driven integrations.

Guide governance and metadata practices using Azure Purview and enforce data quality standards.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align architectural designs with business goals, compliance, and regulatory needs.

Mentor junior architects and engineers on Azure Fabric, data integration, and O2C process design.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

12+ years in solution / data architecture, with 5+ years in Azure Data & Analytics ecosystem.

Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, DirectLake, Dataflows, Semantic Models), Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs, Purview, Power BI.

Proven experience with Data Fabric / Data Mesh patterns, metadata management, and governance frameworks.

Strong knowledge of API, ETL, and event-driven integrations between ERP and cloud.

Familiarity with CI / CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform).

Order-to-Cash Business Flow

An understanding of end-to-end O2C process : Order Capture, Credit Check, Fulfillment, Billing, Invoicing, Payments, Collections, and Dispute Resolution.

Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP S / 4HANA, Oracle ERP, Dynamics 365) and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics) data models.

Strong grasp of finance processes (Accounts Receivable, revenue recognition, cash application, DSO analysis).

Leadership & Soft Skills

Ability to bridge business processes with technical solutions, articulating value to executives and IT leaders.

Strong communication skills for working across Finance, Sales Ops, IT, and Data Governance teams.

Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in large-scale ERP / data platform transformation programs.
